The Search Process with Candidates
As new positions develop, we advise qualified candidates of appropriate opportunities. We discuss in detail with candidates and specifics of each appropriate position and forward a candidate's resume only once permission has been granted by the candidate.
The interview process with corporations is often a much more protracted and unpredictable process for candidates. It is not uncommon for the process to take some time. When corporations are hiring for their respective departments, there is usually less pressure to hire immediately.
Corporations place more emphasis in hiring on the personal characteristics of candidates. Corporations are more concerned about how any candidate will fit in with the diverse group of business people with whom the candidate will be required to interact. At the end of the day, the final selection of a candidate will often be determined by the assessment of personal chemistry. A candidate may have the perfect paper credentials and substantive experience but fail to elicit an offer because the corporation perceives that the personal chemistry would not be right. Candidates should understand that while this emphasis on personal chemistry may work against a candidate for any particular position it will ultimately work in the candidate's favour in other instances.
