Job Responsibilities
Assess current processes and methods and recommend improvements.
Experience in Cost and Schedule integration
Knowledge of risk management and scheduling needs to be used for risk assessment.
Experience in the development of the project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
Manages Master project schedules by defining activities, dependencies, and interfaces
Experience in interface schedule management.
Linear scheduling knowledge
Ensures incorporation of all necessary detail into the schedules and ensures they capture all activities that are deliverable over time (Permits/Environmental, Procurement, Engineering, Construction, and Commissioning)

Interacts with the Contractors’ to review and analyze contractor schedules
Forensic scheduling knowledge and experience
Scheduling revision management experience
Ensure that the schedule represents all changes to both live and baseline schedules to show true representation of any impacts

Performs scheduled/cost analysis, highlights critical paths/risk areas, assesses cost performance during progress updates, and communicates issues to project management to minimize schedule impacts
Evaluate and analyze the critical path and project constraints and propose corrective action to minimize schedule impacts and devise workarounds if possible. Propose improvements and developments in work methodology and systems for planning, scheduling, and work progress measurement
Experience with earned value management and implementation
Run resource curves, cash flows, analyze peak followed by schedule leveling, reviewing logic and durations

Update project schedules with input from team members, consultants, and contractors
Reviews scope changes and claims for schedule and cost impact and provides feedback to financial and contract management staff
Monitors schedule reports, graphs, and cost/schedule performance reports and present findings in project review meetings
Experience with writing reports to identify and flag issues and being able to recommend options to minimize or recover any delay impact.

Qualifications Required:
Twenty (20) or more years of experience in managing major capital projects/programs
Experience engaged in Transit projects (example - LRT – Light Rail, Subway, BRT – Bus, etc.)is an asset
Experience in managing schedules that involve relaying information to multiple stakeholders
P6 knowledge that is accompanied by extensive knowledge of best practices for all aspects of project management, including procurement, cost, contracts, and planning
Tilos knowledge is a must
Supervisory responsibilities of Planners / Schedulers and functional leadership to site-based Planners
Knowledge of construction processes and durations associated with activities
Full and in-depth knowledge of Primavera P6
Experience with resource and cost loading schedules
Undertaking schedule ‘what-if’ analyses and time and impact analysis
Ability to summarize multiple portfolio/project schedules into one master schedule, including changes and updates.
